If you get tired while swimming, there's actually a risk of drowning. Running just lets you pass out!

I cycled 13 miles in 2 hours so running 26 miles will take 8 hours

26 miles in 8 hours? that makes no sense. If you're running, let's say you average at 8 mph, even though it is very possible to run faster. That should only take 3 hours and some change. In order to "run" it in 8 hours that would mean your going about 3 mph...That's a walk not a run...maybe a slight jog....I just had to say that. :)

funnily enough swimming is easy for a swimmer, and there is always side stroke for when you get too tired

  • 11

    Evan Marsh

Five miles is not that hard at all, with a combination of different strokes and floats it could be done easily. In swimming you can use different parts of your body to move you through the water there for giving the other parts a rest, unlike running where it's the constant use of your legs and feet.

Peaceful my ass, gasping for air, most likely freaking out, holding your breath untill you have to inhale and all you have to inhale is water. Yup sounds realy peaceful and relaxing...

    • 6

      Kirsten

Most people who drown actually don't inhale water. The body simply shuts off the esophagus until you suffocate (in most instances)

I swam for hours in a pool a couple times and I never got tired. I'm not trying to brag or anything. I'm not sure how it's possible because I'm not athletic built or muscular at all. I guess water just feels so natural to me. I love it.
