The Greeks were also a predominantly gay society. The male body was the picture of perfection. Just like how the female body is seen as perfection now. Rome was a little more balanced out.

It does not say what period of Ancient Greek culture you would be living in or how old you would be. It's very possible you may die before them and I took the question as which would you rather experience.

Romans fought the greeks after the war of 300 spartans.... No one was able to defend so alexander the great was all like I rule now. He appreciated the greek style he adapted it to his own. So Greece merged into Rome in a rough explanation.

When you look at aspects of both the Greeks were more philosophy based and the Romans were more militarism based. The Greeks actually respected the roman military might, but thought they were a bunch of idiotic brutes while the Romans thought highly of the Greek arts and ideas, but thought they were, and I'm paraphrasing, kind of a bunch of pussies. I'd rather live in one of the greatest empires of all time.

The Byzantine Empire (Greek's empire) was the eastern half of the roman empire. Why would an Italian civilization be inspired from an empire who firstly broke off from them and existed many many years later. Do you think the Romans copied concrete, democracy, highways, numbers, newspapers and air conditioning from the Greeks?? (I'M TRIGGERED)

While that is true, Aurix, there were many more innovations in the history of rome, as well as other fields of science and litterature we base many things off today, that rose frome Rome, and Italy,(like divinchi, or Orbillius) not to discredit the genius of Plato and Aristotle, in any way, however.

They are and aren't the same. Roman gods were alot more serious than their Greek counterparts. They stood for this like honor, respect, strength. The Greek side was alot looser. I'd rather be part of one of the most powerful empires in history, even if they were on the decline for half of their rule. At their height, they owned so much. The Mediterranean was a roman lake, so to say.
