Hypothermia, please. Cold, then sleepy, then warm, then numb, then dead.

actually with freezing you get the feeling of being super heated before you die there is no numb because of the way blood flows

@sourcupcake123 You couldn't fall asleep with all the pain, burning is faster.

Or you could just die of hypothermia like everyone else because freezing up into an ice block isn't possible without some kind of mold.

if someone melts you, they would a. melt your entire body or b. accidentally break the ice cube in half thus breaking you in half

That really all depends on how you're boiled, and what you're boiled IN for that matter; water, oil, tar, acid, etc. Assuming it's water, is it gradually brought to boiling temperatures or are you simply dropped in like french fries in oil? With the former, it is possible to increase the water's temperature gradually enough that no discomfort is felt other than the typical symptoms of heat exhaustion (ie. dehydration, head aches, fatigue, etc.), which would be felt later down the road. With the latter, your death would be relatively immediate as opposed to dragging it out. Within seconds the nerve endings in your skin would burn out. Minutes, and the heat of the liquid would reach further into your body and begin to cook your muscles and organs, including your brain. If you're lucky, you go into shock early on and only feel the first excruciating minute or two. Freezing, on the other hand, comes with an entirely different set of problems. Now, for those of you wanting to get frozen only to be thawed out by future generations, good luck. You'd better hope to be frozen in an incredibly slow and specific way. If you freeze too quickly, the water inside your body's cells will form ice crystals that rupture the cell, killing it. But for the more realistic crowd, while it is commonplace, when suffering from hypothermia, to go from cold, to numb, to sleepy, to unconscious, and, finally, to death, scientists have found many cases which individuals have torn their own clothes off before death (leading some to initially suspect sexual assault). This is the result of a sudden burning sensation caused by the dilation of the blood vessels near the surface of your skin. Imagine it's like that tingling sensation you get when your leg falls asleep, but turned up to eleven.

They said freeze to *death*, not into a cryogenic suspension. You'd need specialists to perform such as well as monitor you afterwards. So basically, no it's not at all an option either way. Did you really have to bring up rape?

boiling would be much faster, if you've ever forgotten to put your glove on when you've been skiing or something you'd know its a lot more painful than you think

    • 3

      Conspiracy risk

The fact is, boiling is going to be a quicker death. People say that when you get burned, it's a lot worse than when you're just cold, but think about it. Have you ever been so cold you felt pain? Cold brings slow misery.

Die in a nearly painless death or die in agony ?

  • 7

    InSta

Freezing to death would take hours, maybe even days. When you actually die, it might be less painful, but the hours of suffering prior to make boiling the best option ( a few minutes )

    • 14

      tmanwater

Actually, it's supposed to have a terrible feeling of being burned alive right before you die. Most people who have froze to death rip off all of their clothing because of the extreme heat.

Yes but maybe the lobster is just totally shocked by the pain and its in so much searing pain it's paralysed. When I'm in pain I can't move.
