Wow wow wow, what do you have against Texas? It hadn't even been a state for 10 years by the civil war and was a non-factor.

Realistically, G.W. didn't really lead much of anything military wise. In fact, Benjamin Franklin would have been a much better president.

It says so that we lost the revolution it does not matter what they did (Historically). Also wasn't america the first to abolish slavery at the time setting the trend.

Fun Fact: The Civil War was really about the having different customs, economies, political views and social hierarchies, not completely because of slavery. One of the factors leading up to the Civil War just so happened to be the right to own slaves. The South wanted to be able to own slaves because slaves kept the agricultural economy going. The North did not want the states to be able to own states because they knew it was wrong. The North did not need slaves because they could not grow crops, they were mostly industrial. The South was enraged, so they left the Union to create their Confederacy, which started the Civil War.

@Charlie What the hell is your problem? Do you even know anything about Texas or are you just an ignorant moron? I have known people from many states and let me tell you the only racists I have ever met have been from the North (People I know who have lived up North often complain that people were really racist up there to them as well). Very few people in Texas during the Civil war even seen a slave much less owned them. They were fighting to protect their home you inconceivable cunt.

dang it picked the wrong one. Anyways, I've thought on what the world would be like if CSA won (also, the CSA gains maryland and new mexico but Arizona joins the union. And I figured out that if they won then the central powers would also win the 2nd great european war (I don't like calling it WWI because it was only fought in europe) and no, not because the Union is weaker. Allow me to explain. In the late 19th century, England, France, and Russia (with serbia and montenegro) formed the Triple Entente. Germany, The Ottomans, and Austro-Hungary also form an alliance. In this alternate timeline, England became the first country to recognize this new slave state and France also recognized it a month later. They industrialize it and most likely by the 1900s, slavery is outlawed (even if it wasn't and the csa were around today, it certainly would have banned it in the 60s or earlier). Still, Union-Confederacy relations are about as tense as NK and SK today. When WW1 starts, confederate states began supporting the allies without directly fighting the central powers. Around 100 years ago, Germany began warning the confederacy to stop helping and that continuing to do so would make them regret it. Eventually, Imperial Germany sent diplomats to the US, promising them that if they block CS supplies then they would help them regain the south and be protected from england and france. With deteriorating relations between the US and both England and France, increasing tensions with the south, and increasing isolation due to sanctions by england and france, the Union eventually agrees. They place a blockade preventing supplies from leaving the south. The Royal navy responds by sending a fleet to destroy the blockade but was intercepted by U-boats. In August 1915, the confederacy declares war on the union. Both Americas begin digging trenches and placing barbed wire along certain lines. In response, the Union invades Washington D.C. and takes it before the trenches are finished. Virginia is a different story. After D.C. is taken, many Union generals became overconfident and threw their forces at the entrenched Confederates; it was like a shooting gallery for the south. After that embarassing defeat, the US entrenched their positions in the east while moving the offense to the west. The west campaign was much more successful because the west wasn't very developed back then (for example, Las Vegas was a small [possibly unincorporated] town). Soon, every state west of the missippi river except Loisianna is Union territory. Meanwhile in the east, CSA is exchanging fire with the union and neither side seems to be making any progress. However the CSA trenches were better constructed than the union trenches which were meant to be temporary rather than protect a strategic objective or city. As in this timeline, Russia leaves the war due to the red insurgency in 1917 allowing Germany and Austro-Hungary to focus their efforts on England and France. Plus, without aid from the US (who are even supplying the central powers), England is blockaded by U-boats and France is struggling. By the end of 1918, England and France surrender and Germany, being true to its word, helped break the CSA by 1920. In the aftermath, Germany places puppet governments over England and France while also being a close ally to the US. In WW2, The soviet Union invades poland. Imperial Germany sees this as an act of soviet aggression and declares war on the soviets. Most likely, Germany will have developed very powerful tanks like its nazi counterpart in the current timeline has and uses them to invade Russia and claim part of Poland (poor Poland, always being invaded :( ). The invasion is successful at first but when winter hits, the Panzer tanks are stuck but the T-32s(soviet WW2 tanks) are able to push them back. In 1943, Pearl Harbor is attacked by Japan and US declares war in retalliation. However, since the soviets are most certainly not allies of Japan, the US doesn't attack russia but it goes after Italy instead. In august 1945, the US developed a very powerful superweapon, one that caused even the suicidal Japanese to come down on their knees. In 1947, Germany and the Soviet Union declare stalemate, poland is split, and a communist revolution is ongoing in the ottoman empire. Although the allies try to save the turks from communism, they were only able to save Israel while the rest of the empire is communized. In 1949, the soviets discover the secret to nuclear weapons, making the west nervous. In the 1950s, germany develops weapons as well as Austro-Hungary shortly after. In our timeline, the US and England organized a coup to overthrow Iran's democratic government and replace it with a western-friendly military government led by the Shah. In the alternate timeline, the urge to do so became even more apparant due to a communist middle east. After 1991 when the Soviet Union fell, the European Union is founded primary led by Germany. Today, Germany is the 4th strongest nation on earth (behing US, Russia, and China) and is the leader of a more stable European Union. Germany is also a close ally of the US and has evolved mostly from an empire to a republic over the decades. In Washington D.C. there is no Lincoln memorial and the tomb of Ulysses S. Grant is replaced by a tomb of Robert J. Lee.

well actually, considering how if the usa remained with britain, it is unlikley that the usa would ever expand past the 13 colonies due to british mandates. that being sai, the majority of the us would be under spanish rule. considering this with world war 2, it is possible with that much more power that the spanish would have joined sides with the axis so really there would be no point and the war would have actually been in north america as welll.

Time is like a flowing river, you can throw a rock in it and make a ripple, but the river still flows in the same direction. If you stop the river at its source, (by killing George Washington), the river never flows in the first place. (No United States)

im black and polish 2 races who have been enslaved and ridiculed many times so your comment means nothing especially since andrew johnson the 17th president and abe lincolns vice president at the time would have abolished slavery in abe's stead so again logic beats your lack of it

Not even. Abraham Lincoln was killed and we don't have slaves now. Also slavery would have been outlawed anyways. Lincoln was pretty important but not THAT important. Also our success with the American Revolution led to other successful ones, spreading democracy.

Not to mention that some Confederate leadership was more concerned with self-determination and state rights than slavery. General Lee for example, plus if the Confederacy were to win it would be with British help. The Emancipation Proclamation was essential a political move to make the British look hypocritical if they were the support the Confederacy. If the South were to win it would be likely with British help, and if that being the case the British would likely have required the Confederacy to relinquish slavery.

Actually, Lincoln didn't much care about the slavery. He just wanted the USA to be unified once again. If the US lost the revolution, slavery would've been abolished at the same time as in the UK: BEFORE the US abolished it.

Actually... if we lost the revolutionary war then Great Britain would have the same issue as Abraham Lincoln would have decades later. The south would still rebel and have yet another revolutionary war on their hands. And who knows there could have been another general in this conflict that could lead the south to victory and heck even the north might just join in just for the sake of not being apart of the British Crown. A lot of what ifs in this. But it is because of the southern states that slavery existed after the revolutionary war because the northern states did tried to get rid of slavery. Slavery would die out eventually as technologies were introduced in the south and they stopped producing 80% of the worlds cotton.

I wish i could see it brun, but i can't condemn my favorite historical leader to death, and if keeping him alive means no more slavery, i think its a far trade off, Thought thats a absolute then, no more slavery at all. also, America could most likely get indepented at some point later. I see there is no way of England keeping The american colonies forever.

Abraham Lincoln did not want to abolish slavery in all of the US. The Emancipation Proclamation was to only outlaw slavery in all states that were rebelling. The border states of the South and North still had slavery. Washington D.C. was in a state that was allowed to practice slavery, just not within the city limits of D.C.

    • 0

      oisteinoe

ehm, Lincoln did want to end slavery, he just didn't want too fight a war for it in the begining and it's true that the porcomation only did it in slave states which he did because if he had outlawed it comptetly it wound't be justified in front of the law, he was a laywer after all. And the states would have turn against the North if he had included them. He supported the 13th admenmeth which did outlaw it comptely.

Also I don't know what countries America "spread democracy" to that didn't end up as non-democratic or completely fucked up.

@turlough The democratic sysem in Japan is so unlike any other western system, that i highly doubt it was inspired by America. For further reading; www.rogerdarlington.me.uk...ystem.html France had it's own revolution, caused by the gargantuan poverty of "the little man", and the even greater wealth of the upper classes. Italy had democracy before WW2, Mussolini was elected as prime minister by public vote in 1924. The same with Germany. Hitler was almost elected prime minister by a democratic congress.

"show me your papers!" and you better not say nien cause then your getting locked up till they know who you are. yes this is real and this is your america. the land of the "free" do some research before its taken away with bills similar to sopa
