The reason we are rich is because we worked hard in school and have most likely gone to a revered university such as Stanford. Putting hours and hours of your time into becoming a better person and not wasting it on smoking and procrastinating is truly worth respect.

No it doesn't guarantee it, but neither does being poor, you just get worse living conditions. Keep in mind if you're really poor you would go hungry most of the time and probably be malnourished. You would also have less spare time since you must use this on trying to get food/earn money, which means you have actually lesser chance of finding friends/love.

Any point you use again being rich can be used against poverty.
