      Why do people think they're not going to have extremely fucked up knees and leg joints? It's better to be pushing down on your legs than pulling them. Besides, why do you think you're not working out your legs just because the wights are not on your feet? You know how weighted squats work right? I'm surrounded by complete idiots.

      Well The weight you are now is how much weight is pushing down on you. I'm pretty good with an extra 40 pounds.

      Lifting weights with your feet won't fuck your joints up... However try to jump with 40 lbs on your back...

      40 lbs isn't that much, especially for your back and leg muscles. it would take a week max before you wouldn't even feel it anymore

      the weight on your shoulders would train your whole body. ala DBZ weighted training suits. you will soon not even notice the weight and be much stronger. good luck with your knees and ankels being pulled apart. joints were made to compress not stretch

      @Alvo Razzi the weight is not on your leg its on your feet if it was on your shoulder your body would be heavy and your knees would have to hold that up just for you to walk.

      Your thighs wouldn't bulk at all. Your calfs would get a slight workout but that would be balanced out by the fact that your ankle joints would wear out very fast

    Just because it looks lesspainful to have less weight but on your ankles. You're wrong, your ankles are a vulnerable part of your body and is very easy to hurt. On your shoulders and back logically the human body can carry that weight easier because we have done it since forever. Backpqcks with huge text books, slavery in ancient times, and much more.

    the extra weight on your ankles would damage your joints. the weight on the shoulders would increase your strength over time.

      extra weight on the ankles would improve how agile your feet are and I don't see how it would harm joints. weight on the shoulders would primary go through the back/spine which is already where lots of people have joint pain

    I used to have to carry a 50 lb pack on road marches when I was in the Army. My legs, shoulders, and back got ripped. Ten pound weights on my feet would just make me more clumsy.

    I live on a farm and lift 30-40 pound bags of feed daily. Not only would it not be a problem, but I love my muscles

    To Alvio whatever your last name is - Go read a book or something, you are so wrong it makes my whole body hurt. It is SO MUCH WORSE pushing down on your joints then "pulling on them" The weights on your feet will do virtually nothing to any of the joints above your ankles.
