Always be overdressed

Being overdressed projects confidence, polish, and respect — in virtually any situation it reads as effort rather than a social misstep.

Formal wear is a universally respected aesthetic that signals class and intentionality wherever you wear it.

Always be underdressed

Always being underdressed means always being physically comfortable — formal attire is restrictive, and forcing it onto every context would be miserable.
Overdressing for every occasion — the gym, the beach, a quick errand — creates constant practical friction that comfortable dressing avoids entirely.
