Starvation affects far more people worldwide than cancer, so ending hunger saves the greatest number of lives
Hunger is a chronic, lifelong burden that follows people from birth; cancer is a risk many people never face
The food and resources to end hunger already exist — the obstacle is distribution and political will, not scientific discovery

Find a cure for cancer

Cancer strikes people of every age and background regardless of wealth — unlike hunger, there is no way to simply avoid it
No cure for all cancers currently exists, meaning this would require genuinely new science rather than better logistics
Eliminating the enormous financial cost of cancer treatment would itself free vast resources to tackle poverty and hunger
