I choose to only make animal sounds. Crawling on all fours all the time is too inconvenient. Even if I can't talk, at least I can use body movements along with the sounds to communicate.

Assume that walking on all fours is just as efficient as regular walking (but you may never stand on 2 legs), and that about 1/4 of your noises would be understood by others.
